Milestones and Memories: Celebrating Big Wins with Redeeming Zoe!
October was an incredibly exciting month for us, marked by significant achievements in both local and international initiatives, including the first-ever Redeeming Zoe gala in Texas! Our commitment to child protection continues through various outreach programs, such as school partnerships, community training, and capacity-building for Club Kinabuhi participants. Your continued prayers, support, and the positive impact on those we reach continue to inspire and motivate us. We share our wins with you because we could not have done this without you!
OCTOBER WINS:
Successful First Gala Event in Texas. We hosted our first gala in Greenville, Texas, to support our goal of building a community center in Cebu, marking an important milestone for our organization. The event was a wonderful celebration of Filipino culture, complete with traditional food and folk dance performances. A highlight of the night was the presence of our Manager of Operations from the Philippines. It was a memorable evening and the beginning of our journey toward building the community center. We can’t thank you enough for your generosity and support in making this event a success.
Partnership with Private School in Lapu-Lapu City: Play Therapy Sessions. We collaborated with a private school in Lapu-Lapu City to conduct play therapy sessions focused on child safety, identifying emotions, and self-regulation, helping children understand and express their feelings to a trusted adult. A total of 124 elementary students and 50 junior high school students participated in the training, promoting awareness and engagement on essential child safety topics.
Training on Child Protection. In partnership with the same private school, we conducted a training session for 30 adults, including daycare teachers and college students majoring in early childhood education. The training focused on child protection against abuse, equipping participants with knowledge and practical strategies to recognize signs and forms of abuse and to safeguard children.
Internet Safety Training for Parents. Our organization conducted a training session at a partner church, and despite the bad weather, 86 parents joined and participated. The session focused on internet safety for children and effective management of children's online activities, empowering parents to create safer digital environments for their families. Thank God, the training was a success, and everyone arrived home safely.
First Educational Tour for Club Kinabuhi Participants. We organized our first educational tour for the participants of Club Kinabuhi. Our goal was to give participants the opportunity to experience new places and see possibilities that would spark aspirations and motivate them to strive for a better future. The event was a success, with all CK attendees thoroughly enjoying the experience, gaining valuable insights, broadening their perspectives, and challenging their limiting beliefs.
Club Kinabuhi mothers joining Women’s Fellowship. This October, Club Kinabuhi mothers joined the church women’s fellowship. We are so happy that the mothers were able to hear a message about their identity in Christ. Our hearts were filled with joy as they moved forward during the altar call and healing prayers. It was a beautiful moment to see the mothers strengthened by hope in Jesus, even in the face of adversity.
